2016 Kate’s Club Memory Walk
Sunday, November 13th, 2016
10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Piedmont Park Promenade
On Sunday, November 13th from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Piedmont Park, the greater Atlanta community will gather together to honor the memories and legacies of loved ones who have died. This interactive 2K walk is designed for all ages and abilities. Activities along the memory walk will include activities like a chalk mural, story-telling path, and more for the whole family. After completing the 2K walk, participants will be treated to a community meal, games, and family activities.
The Memory Walk is held in coordination with National Children’s Grief Awareness Day, held the Thursday before Thanksgiving each year. The purpose of National Children’s Grief Awareness Day (November 17th) is to bring attention to the prevalence of children’s grief and the needs of those children around us who have lost a loved one due to death. Through this, we hope that a greater understanding can be gained by each of us of how to support someone who has suffered such a loss. Learn more about National Children’s Grief Awareness Day here.
We were honored to have so many people walk with our Kate’s Club community in memory and honor of those we have loved last year. We look forward to celebrating with you and your family this year.
