Cabaret IX – a party with a purpose!

On August 17th, Kate’s Club will be hosting Cabaret IX. Cabaret is a party with a purpose, existing to help fund the Kate’s Club Mission – to empower children and teens facing life after the death of a parent or sibling. For those of you not familiar, this event looks like a fancy schmancy cocktail party, complete with signature drinks, a rock’in band, passed h’ors deouvres and a silent auction. Ticket proceeds, Sponsorships, Fund-a-Need donations and Silent Auction sales all go to make Support Services and outings possible for our members and their families. Camp Good Mourning is just one great example. We will be taking 130 kids who have experienced the death of a parent or sibling to Camp Twin Lakes for 3 days in August. This is a HUGE undertaking and one that requires not only time, but money to make this experience helpful and meaningful for children in their grief journey. Any volunteer can tell you the amazing impact this Camp has for our members.  Of course, Kate’s Club always welcomes folks to give of their time, but the truth is, dollars also go a long way in assisting us in our goal. So should you want a reason to get dolled up and kick back for a high fallutin night out this summer, and are interested in helping our kids grow and prosper, look no further than Cabaret. So enjoy that martini, and dance till your feet ache, because your admission to fun has made a difference in aiding a child in their grief journey.
