Lisa Aman

Executive Director
Lisa joined Kate’s Club as Executive Director in 2021. She received her B.A. in Economics from Yale University and her M.B.A. from Stanford University. She has served on several non-profit boards that focus on closing the opportunity gap many Atlanta children and families face. Her favorite part of Kate’s Club is watching a child or teen who feels isolated and alone find a community where they belong.

Lane Pease, MS, NCC

Director of Programs & Partnerships
Lane has been at Kate's Club since 2012. She has her Bachelors in Philosophy from Georgia State University and a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University. She is currently working towards her licensure as a Professional Counselor in Georgia. She is co-author of the book “We Come Together as One: Helping Families Grieve, Share, and Heal the Kate’s Club Way." She enjoys getting to use her knowledge both professional and personal to help others on their grief journey at Kate's Club.

Jamie Duncan

Director of Development & Marketing
Jamie has been at Kate’s Club since 2018. She graduated from Florida State University with a B.S. in International Business and Spanish. She has worked in fundraising and communications for over ten years with a focus in children and young adult organizations. One of her favorite things about Kate’s Club is watching Kate’s Club members create healthy relationships that will support them forever in their grief journey.

Debra Brook, CTRS

Director of Clubhouse & Volunteer Services
Debra has been with Kate's Club since 2010. She received her Bachelors of Science in Recreation with an empahsis in Therapeutic Recreation from the University of Florida. She is certified through the National Council of Therapeutic Recreation and she received a Certificate of Non-Profit Volunteer Management from Georgia Center for Non-Profits. Her favorite part about working with Kate's Club is the sense of community she feels.

Liz Carson, MSW

Outreach Manager
Liz has been at Kate's Club since 2014. She graduated with a B.S. in Anthropology and Human Biology from Emory University in 2014 and a Master of Social Work degree from Florida State University in 2022. She is certified in Youth Mental Health First Aid and QPR Suicide Prevention. Her favorite part about Kate's Club is how quickly students, families, and volunteers go from being strangers to being a community.

Courtney Parsons, MSW

Development & Marketing Manager
Courtney has been at Kate's Club since 2017. Courtney graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Humanities from Wofford College in 2015 and a Master of Social Work degree from Georgia State University in 2017. Her favorite thing about Kate's Club is being able to see all different walks of life coming to together under a shared experience.

Ashlie Evans

Data & Outcomes Manager
Ashlie has been at Kate's Club since 2019. She graduated from Howard University in 2013 with a B.S. in Psychology. She is currently pursuing her Masters in Health Administration. Her favorite part about Kate's Club is watching sad, angry and resistant kids leave smiling and hopeful knowing they are not alone in their grief experience.

Program & Operations Coordinator
Taurean has been at Kate's Club since 2017. He studied at the University of Wisconsin Parkside and his favorite part about working at Kate's Club is the interaction between families and staff and the sense of a tight knit community.

Toochi Adefila

Digital Platform Project Coordinator
Toochi has been at Kate’s Club since 2021. She graduated from Kennesaw State University with her B.S. in Exercise Science in 2014 and then earned her M.A. in Teaching from Georgia State University in 2018. She worked as a teacher for several years before deciding to help teens in a different avenue. Her favorite thing about Kate’s Club is getting to work with a team dedicated to supporting the community.

Victoria Ravenell

Data & Program Coordinator
Victoria joined Kate’s Club in 2021. She graduated from Valdosta State University in 2017 with a BS in Education and a minor in Speech Communication. She is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree in Public Administration with a Non-Profit Certification. Her favorite part of Kate’s Club is the community between the staff and the willingness to go the extra mile for the children.

Therapists

Kate’s Club employs several part-time therapists who design and deliver Kate’s Club programs. They are fully licensed professionals who specialize in using art, music, creative writing, movement, and activity to work with grieving children and families.
