We are a community for children and teens, their families, and young adults facing life after the death of someone important to them. The organization brings people together around grief, creating safe - both in-person and online - educational, recreational and therapeutic spaces designed to help everyone express the emotions that come with such a loss. This position is focused on providing the data and analytics to measure the impact of the work that we do.

Do you live and breathe data?

We are seeking an individual who will thrive on collecting, organizing and analyzing data. This individual will love digging into numbers, spreadsheets and databases to ensure that they are accurate and up-to-date, and will be able to step back from the database to provide insights and recommendations for our program. This individual will be able to translate children utilizing our services into concrete data that we can use to ensure our funders know the value of the work that we do.

What you'll do

Data Management and Coordination — about 40% of the role

You will be responsible for all program and participation data, ensuring accuracy and integrity across our databases. This will include data entry, cleanup, and auditing of data, and data collection for assessments.

Reporting and Evaluation Support — about 20% of the role

Reporting out on our activity is critical for our donors, and this role will assist in generating data reports to track program impact. It will also track engagement and analyze trends across programs, along with other responsibilities.

Technology and systems support — about 40% of the role

This role will have deep technical expertise on the systems, including Salesforce, we utilize to gather and analyze data, and will help to troubleshoot any technical issues. The person in this role will ensure data integrity and security is maintained at all times, and will provide support and training to other staff members as needed.

What you'll bring

  • A love of data - collecting, organizing, analyzing, and developing insights from it.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as data management, social sciences, public health, or nonprofit management, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of two years relevant experience in data management, program evaluation or nonprofit operations.  
  • Experience in platforms including Apricot, Salesforce, Microsoft Office 365, and Google Suite. Proficiency in data analysis software such as SPSS, R, Python, Power BI, or Tableau.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with multiple teams.
  • Knowledge of survey design, statistical analysis, and program evaluation methods is a plus.
